Letter to Singapore

Dear Singapore,

My facebook countdown clock tells me that i am coming back to you in 60 days after living in the states for almost 8 years.

I’m not sure what to expect as it sure is hard to leave a country where it feels like there are no limits to what one can do, nor is there any societal pressure to get married, have kids and settle down. Here I feel young with the world ahead of me. With you I feel like I need to catch up somewhere.

On the other hand, coming home to you always feels like I never left. The only memories I have revolve around my secondary school days so I hope to make new ones.

Let’s hope they are good ones. I have faith in you.

P.S. any way to improve on the tv programming? perhaps more updated american tv in better timeslots? I know you try hard with the local productions and all… but it doesn’t seem to be quite working. ;)
